helping handsFace it – sometimes we need a helping hand, but may be reluctant to ask for assistance. And we all know many other people who are the same way.

Do you have a friend who is ill or recovering from surgery who could use help running a few errands or walking the dog? Maybe you know a mom with a little one (or more) who could use an hour or two to take care of some Christmas shopping, or take a shower? Or perhaps there’s that sweet elderly neighbor or congregation member who could use a ride to the grocery store or doctor’s office.

Whoever that person may be, offer to give them a helping hand. If your friend is concerned about putting you out, mention that you can run her errands while running your own – one trip to the drugstore or post office is easier than two (and…
