Cee’s Share Your World this week:
Where do you eat breakfast?
I have this crazy “nest” on the floor of the family room where I sit a great deal of the time. The base is a large zabuton and I have a big bed/back rest thing sitting on the rear portion of it. The back rest also came with a big wedge pillow to put your legs over. The combo keeps my hips nice and flat and keeps my knees bent enough to both hold my laptop (or, as the case may be, breakfast 🙂 ) and keep my back in a good position. I like to sit there for breakfast. I usually watch TV and I save benign (i.e. no explosions, gun fire, forensic examinations of bodies or medical procedures) shows like “This Is Us” or “Jane the Virgin” to have something pleasant to watch while I munch on my homemade granola or eggs and then sip on my one cup/day of coffee.
Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want have a evening with?
I assume this is inviting me to dream up a famous person, but when I really think about it, it just seems uncomfortable. At this point in my life the famous person would have no particular reason to want to spend the evening with me so I think I’d be anxious and uneasy. I’d like to pick a couple of the great friends with whom I’ve been blessed and make them a nice dinner over which we can commune deeply and savor one another’s company.
When I’ve sold a book that does well or picked up a million blog followers 🙂 and they have reason to want to meet me as well as me wanting to meet them, I think Charlie Rose and Oprah Winfrey would be very interesting folks to have dinner with.
If you could be a tree or plant, what would you be?
A Weeping Cherry, I think. Thirty+ years of yoga have taught me to relish having a combo of strength and flexibility and weeping cherries and willows seem to me to embody that notion very well with their strong trunks and flowing branches. Plus the cherries are so awe-inspiring in the spring, it would be nice to bring that much pleasure to others.

When the notification showed up on my phone last Friday that indictments are starting to come down in Russiagate, I felt pretty happy.
